Training
MRI has a training academy. It has provided training to many institutions, corporations, factories, child minders, domestic workers, professionals from medical and non medical backgrounds, etc. First Aid is no longer a ‘nice to have’ qualification. First Aid is a requirement in the work place especially if you work in industries and factories. It is equally important in the mining industry. At home, more and more people are starting to realise how much they rely on the domestic workers and child minders for the safety and welfare of their children. It is therefore important to empower them with the first aid skills they may need should the need arise. The courses are tailor-made for specific needs of different groups without losing the intended goals of the first aid course.
Health care professionals need much more than just first aid. The training academy has imported courses from the American Heart Association through the Resuscitation Council of Southern Africa to run courses in advanced life support. The courses are internationally recognised and are a requirement for registration as a medical practitioner in most hospitals worldwide. Courses offered are Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Basic Life Support, ECG and Pharmacology and Airway Management.
The courses are conducted at MRI house in Gaborone at the following address:
Plot 20623, Block 3,
Cnr Samedupe and Ramakukane way
Where the client requests the training to happen on site, arrangements are made with the training coordinator. Training can be booked with the training coordinator at:
