MRI Botswana Launches Widely Accessible 992

MRI Botswana has launched a new number -992 which is free of charge and compatible with all telecommunication service providers namely Mascom , Orange, Be Mobile and BTC landline.

According to the company’s Managing Director Rockie Mmutle, the number is a must know by everyone residing in Botswana as it is critical to people’s lives.

The core business of MRI Botswana is in the of pre-hospital emergency medical care while its essence is its`24/7/365 call center in Gaborone which is manned by a team of highly quality doctors, paramedics and nursing staff and call center representatives.

"Each and every person in Botswana should know the number 992 because this is the number that saves lives, it is a free number and can be accessed by any network and thus there is no need to loose a life that could have been saved by simply dialing it in an emergency," he said adding that "MRI Botswana will be with you when second counts” Also speaking during the launch of the new number, the company’s marketing manager Beulah Emig said their presence in Botswana for the past 16 years has been a source of constant reassurance to their customers who know that when in need of assistance, MRI Botswana is always there to provide professional and efficient medical assistance. "we aim to provide efficient service to our customer and MRI Botswana to ensure that the number changes from 911 to 992 does not in any way interrupt the high quality service that our customers receive from us" she said.

She said the number 992 changes has also provide them with the perfect opportunity to interact with the customers as the campaign assist them in achieving a wider strategic initiative that allows MRI Botswana to reengage with their customers and ensure that they are aware of the service they can receive from them.

Emig said the interaction objective is largely due to results from several market research intervention which show that some of their customers, particularly medical aid members who include BoMaid , Pula, BPOMAS and Botsogo are not aware that when accessing ground ambulance services there is no co-payment needed.
