MRI Botswana is pleased to announce the
appointment of Meshack Tshekedi to the
position of General Manager. Tshekedi, a
Chemical Engineer and Economics graduate
also holds a Master of Science qualification in
Engineering Management from the University
of Missouri-Rolla in the United States of
America.
In his new role as General Manager of MRI
Botswana, Tshekedi will manage and guide
the company in all its operating and financial
activities to grow and improve the company’s
earnings. This will include investigating new
business opportunities and securing new business,
developing and maintaining long term business
relations with key stakeholders and clients to
influence the growth and future direction of the
company.
Tshekedi had a meteoric rise during his tenure at Kgalagadi Breweries Limited (KBL) where he initially joined
the company as an Operations Management Trainee in 2002 and then was rapidly promoted to Cash
& Carry Manager and Planning Manager in 2002 and 2003 respectively. He had a short stint with X-Pert
Group Botswana as a Project Management Consultant before returning to KBL as Projects Manager and
later elevated to the position of Supply Chain Manager.
Tshekedi was subsequently promoted to Supply Chain Director and was responsible for the extension of
supply chain management services to Botswana Breweries Limited (BBL) as well as leading the centralisation
of all the Planning, Procurement and Enterprise Development activities for both KBL and BBL. Tshekedi held
the position of Supply Chain Director from 2007 until 2010 before joining MRI Botswana.
